• The characteristics of various industry standards • Troubleshooting and repair Students construct, test, and troubleshoot copper-based cabling systems that are the basis of today’s networking, cable television and satellite communications systems. The industry standards include both commercial and residential structures. Troubleshooting includes a whole chapter on testing copper-based systems. There’s a chapter on networks, too—wired and wireless. All the latest information is included, on Cat 6 and quad-shield coax, VoIP, smart homes, and more. C-Tech Copper, like all C-Tech courses, is completely portable. No permanent lab is needed—the patented C-Tech equipment can be set up in any classroom, and moved from room to room if necessary. This course also has an accompanying Computer Enhanced Training (CET) CD-ROM that provides color images, videos, slide shows and interactive “self-checking” for troubleshooting activities. The CD-ROM is an added feature; it’s not needed to complete the course successfully. C-Tech Copper also includes two bonuses from C-Tech’s Program Recognizers:
Students who successfully complete this program receive a Network Cabling Specialist—Copper certificate. The program is also available in Spanish.
